Community lottery jackpot winner
We’re thrilled to announce that a lucky resident has won the top jackpot prize of £25,000 in the Epping Forest Community Lottery.
The win marks the first time a resident in the district has won the jackpot since the community lottery was launched last year.
About the Epping Forest Community Lottery
This week’s figures show the lottery has raised over £16,000 for good causes so far in the Epping Forest district.
Tickets cost just £1 and players have a 50 in 1 chance of winning. Prizes range from extra lottery tickets to retail vouchers, all the way up to the £25,000 jackpot.
With every ticket purchased players are also entered into the monthly Super Draw, giving players more chances to win. Previous Super Draw prizes included the all-new iPhone 17 Pro, a luxury holiday, or players can opt for a £1,000 cash alternative.
The winner
The winner of the £25,000 jackpot is a parent of a pupil at Coopersale and Theydon Garnon School. They chose to support the school as their good cause and wanted to remain anonymous.
Extra funds for activities and trips
"We were thrilled to hear that one of our supporters has won the top prize and we’re very grateful to all our supporters whose extra funds have helped us provide additional extra-curricular activities for pupils and wider pupil development opportunities.
Setting up and changing information on our good cause page was easy and we continue to promote it using our social media platforms. Thank you, Epping Forest District Council, for setting up this great initiative."
Sue Petchey, Coopersale and Theydon Garnon School Business Manager
Congratulations and thank you for your support
"Massive congratulations to the winner and thank you to everyone who has taken part and supported our local community groups across our district.
The Epping Forest Community Lottery is a fabulous initiative that not only supports local community groups but gives people an opportunity to win awesome prizes. I’m over the moon to know our district now has a £25,000 jackpot winner."
